Welcome to the First Class Learning Study Centre in Chertsey !

We support students in the local community in Maths and English Tuition. Children of all ages thrive at FCL as our programmes are individual to their specific needs.

Classes
First Class Learning was developed by a British Team of Educationalist to meet the objectives/targets of the National Curriculum in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Before you decide to enrol your child with FCL they will be assessed by the Centre Manager. This assessment will help to determine his/her specific needs and ensure a realistic starting point in the programme. After that a weekly visit to the Study Centre takes place where the child will complete a short piece of work , which will be marked and mistakes corrected. This gives immediate feedback and so boosts self-confidence. Remember: Mistakes are not failures, but oppertunities to learn ! Each visit takes approximately 20/30 minutes. Homework is completed each day thereby reinforcing fundamental skiils in numeracy and literacy . Parents mark the work (using a handbook) and so remain aware of the work that your child is doing.

Ages and Levels Covered
FCL is suitable for ages 4 -14 (Key Stages 1 to 3)

Opening Times
Wednesday from 3.30 to 5.30 pm (last entry at 5.00pm)

There is a waiting area outside Room- A where parents can wait, while their child completes the work set.
Parking is available in the public car park across the road. Please be aware that crossing the road is the responsibility of the parents and not the Centre Manager.

Tuition Fees
Initial enrolment/registration £ 20.00
One subject £ 50.00 per month
Two subjects £ 75.00 per month
Sibling discount available on request

About Us
I want to ensure that your child gets the most out of the FCL programme. A little work, often is more effective than a big chunk. My favourite word is YET. It is not - ' I can't do fractions !' , but it is ' I can't do fractions yet !'
