About Us
At Abbey wood Kumon study centre, we provides Maths and English programmes for students of all ages and abilities. The programme provides a well structured supplemental system of learning, and encourages parental involvement, which boosts students' confidence and self-esteem.Kumon involves a small amount of regular work every day, usually about 10-30 minutes per subject. Each student follows an individualized programme, starting at a comfortable level determined by an assessment, to build confidence and to get used to doing Kumon. This also gives students the opportunity to fill any gaps they may have in their knowledge and skills. Daily work helps students to develop their concentration and independent learning skills.
Our aim at Abbey wood Kumon Centre is not just to prepare children for passing an exam or catching up with schoolwork. We aim to nurture confident, independent learners – children who will be prepared to meet challenges in school and beyond.

Additional Information
Quote from an Abbeywood Kumon parent
"It turns out, the repetition, routine and regularity of the Kumon programme, was just what he needed. If I could plot a chart, his progress would trend from about 3 weeks after starting the programme.
"In terms of his English, his speech and communication has improved, and so too has his behaviour. He is now a part of the advanced reader programme at his school, of which there are only five in his class of 30."
Quote from an Abbeywood Kumon student (Year 3)
"Kumon has helped me immensely as the difference showed in Year two. I am very fluent in my reading now and I can understand what I am reading about.
"I have told my Mum that I want to complete the English programme and she is willing to support me. Kumon has helped me with my English at school. Kumon English has helped me with my spellings too. I am now a top scorer in my spelling."
