My advice on how to study is this.

First of all, allow yourself time to review material: this is essential in order to have success in any exam. The best way to do this is to give yourself an hour or so after school to review your lessons of the day. Think about what you understood quickly and what you think you need to master.

Also keep a journal with questions you can ask your teacher or tutor. The important thing to remember is that cramming is not going to work!

Also take notes on your subject matter on index cards. For example, if you are studying for an exam in English, then take notes on how to write a great essay etc.

If the subject is Maths, then find an good textbook and put the material into your own words.

All in all, don't stress. Make sure you allow yourself time to absorb the material you are learning and be open with yourself and your tutor about what you want to know.
