Here are my tips for parents for success at the 11+:

1. Firstly find out the requirements of the school of your preferred choice. For example, verbal or non verbal reasoning, maths, english comprehension.

2. Focus on the pupil's weak points, whilst at the same time building on their strengths.

3. Make a dedicated daily time in which your child practises from a work book. Better to concentrate hard for 20 minutes.

4. Praise and encourage your child and reward with incentives after reaching each goal.
