13+ exam (Common Entrance)

Studying and learning from History or Shakespeare under the pressure of exams and essay-writing can often be a time-consuming, frustrating process. My aim as a tutor is to concentrate on acquainting the tutee with the often formulaic way of answering exam questions, constructing a technically secure, concise argument, but also to transcend that and open up the potential of each subject for one's imagination and life. Balancing the two is my target during lessons.

A Shakespeare text has an infinite number of rich insights into how we are as humans. History helps develop a similarly analytical part of the brain. Asking questions - this is what education is about!
