Recommended Reading
If you are studying AQA Biology at A level, I find the Nelson Thornes AQA Biology books particulary good. They are endorsed by AQA and as a result, they follow the specification in a very clear manner. They are very closely aligned to the examination, to the extend that a recent examination question could have been lifted straight from the pages of the book.
On a slightly negative side, I do find the content is rather text laden, as I would personally prefer a few more diagrams/photographs to illustrate principles. This is however only a slight gripe because the content is excellent with exam questions at the end of each chapter and examiners tips throughout.
At the end of the day it is all about grasping those principles and passing those exams!! This text book will help you to do just that.
