A-level Biology

Hi everyone!!!

With so much technology available to us, it should be even easier to learn Biology and get top grades. Here are some ideas.

  • One of the simplest things, if your tutor is teaching a topic which is particularly tricky, use the voice recorder to record the lesson using your mobile phone. You can listen to the lesson many more times on the go !! Of course remember to ask your tutor first .

  • Use YouTube. A lot of basic topics are covered by youtube, which has excellent tutorials on various topics like meiosis, genes, protein synthesis etc. Load it onto your mobile and watch it when you are travelling to school.

  • This is a text to speech convertor. When I don’t feel like reading a book, or when my eyes are really tired from using the PC for a long time, I copy the text onto the browse and allow the software to read out the literature to me. Here is one example of a free text to speech convertor.

  • There are also a lot of online tutorials available as well. But the downside is most of them cost a lot of money.

  • A lot of tutors offer online classes. Make use of it !

  • And finally for all those students who cannot live without iPhones, there is even an app (believe it or faint !!) which helps you study for your A level exams. Download the free demo version and check it out.

And as always, Happy learning !!!
