Science exams can seem very daunting, so it is important to begin revision early to ensure the best chance of success. There are many good ways to revise and it is important to find the best one for you.
Ideas include: making revision cards, practising exam questions, giving yourself mini tests, making mind maps etc. It is also important to take regular breaks and change topics every thirty minutes or so. Don't get tied up revising the same thing over and over again.
Make sure you invest in a good revision guide and highlight the key points. BBC bitesize is a great tool for GCSE and S-cool for A level, they have all the key revision points but also quizzes and games. If you can try and get hold of the syllabus this will help you to plan revision and ensure you have revised all topics, making revision checklists are also helpful.
It is important to recognise that there is a big jump from GCSE to A level. At A level you are expected to take more initiative and independent learning. You will also have to design your own coursework project: make sure you research well and seek advice, don't suffer in silence. Getting a good coursework grade will help to ease the exam pressure a little.
Good luck with revision and exams: your hard work will pay off!
