A-level English

I am an experienced examination coach. During my time as a tutor I have coached many students for GCSE and GCE exams, in English and Modern Languages.

Here are a few tips I have learned along the way:

  • Studying for an exam takes a lot of mental and physical energy, so it is wise to consider diet and a healthy body/mind balance at all times.
  • Time management is the art of not letting the length of the exam beat you; rather divide study or the actual exam itself up into manageable chunks of time (on the BBC language websites recommended for school age you will see this marked as bitesize chunks).
  • Try to enjoy the revision process, and take time to really examine your study skills in depth. Are you studying as effectively as you can, in the time given?
