French and German are usually perceived to be very difficult languages by most students. An important step whilst learning them is to become familiar with grammar rules. However, it is essential to use every opportunity of contact with the language to improve a student’s general feeling for the language. Therefore, I highly recommend my students to participate on school exchanges or find possibilities in their daily lives to surround themselves with the language. This can be done by listening to music in French or German, by watching TV or reading a book in the language.

When I teach languages, I focus on grammar as it is an important basis, but also speaking a lot during classes, as this brings the language to life.
