A-level Italian

Learning another language, different from English, will bring you out of your mindset. It will expose you to completely new dimensions, new cultures, and new ways of thinking.  As Federico Fellini, the famous Italian film director, once said: "A different language is a different vision of life".

Learning a second language will take you on a journey of discovery towards a different country. Language can become the starting point to look at a nation's culture, its history and its traditions. If we do not understand the language of a specific country we can not say that we have gained access to its culture.

Personally, I feel my life is enriched by speaking several languages; I feel I have found the key to communicate with people from all around the world as well as feeling confident when I travel. I strongly recommend students to learn a second or third language. Languages are fun, useful and a valuable tool for personal and professional development.
