Choosing the correct study material is very important for students.

Information from a textbook with no colour or pictures and with keywords that lacked any kind of highlighting would be hard to follow, as well as being hard to recall in an exam.

However, if a textbook has colourful keywords and pictures associated with them, psychology dictates that these attributes help to improve the human capacity to recall information, in the same way that we remember people's names through their stories, faces and our experiences with them.

My advice would be that if the textbook you are looking at has all the relevant information necessary for your syllabus' curriculum, looking at the presentation of the textbook can also be of great help with revision.
