From personal experience, I believe that organisation and plenty of rewards are important. Draw up a revision plan, outlining the times you're going to study certain subjects/modules, and try to vary them so that you don't get stuck on one topic for hours on end! Make sure that you also schedule in lots of regularĀ breaks to give yourself time to relax and wind down, as you're less likely to take information in if you're feeling tired and worn out.
With maths revision, I believe the key is practice, practice and more practice. The more you practice, the better you will come to understand a topic. There are plenty of websites/revision guidesĀ available where you can get extra questions, and going through past exam papers is a must, as the same themes tend to be repeated, and you will be able to get a better understanding of the types of questions to expect, which will make you feel more relaxed and prepared going into the exam.
If you are struggling with a particular topic, don't push it to one side and ignore it. Make sure you do extra questions, and see if you can get it explained in a slightly different way, which may be all it takes to gain a better understanding.
