The best book to understand management accounting concepts is Management and Cost Accounting by Colin Drury.
It helped me when I was studying for CIMA and now when I teach Management accounting subjects.
It has good examples and plenty of practice questions.
I am a Management accountant by profession and training, but teaching is my passion. Being able to assisting someone learn what I am teaching and helping someone pass thier exams give me a great sense of achievement. I am very approachable and patient.
