When you make the big decision to learn guitar you will be amazed with the results that just a half hour's practice every day without missing a day will bring. There will be great results, and within 4 - 6 weeks you will really notice a massive improvement.

My advice is learn on classical nylon strings and then progress to steel strings on electric or acoustic.

With the difficult F Chord where we introduce the barre, practise this further up the neck and first work on the 2 string barre only, then add in the additional fingers working up to the 6 string F Chord with barre.
