My Favourite Bass Guitar Books:

Books I use regularly in lessons and other favourite instructional books include:

Music Reading for Bass by Wendi Hrehovcsik

Contemporary Electric Bass Rhythms - Berklee series

Bass improvisation by Ed Fridland

The Songwriting Secrets of the Beatles by Dominic Pedlar (an inspirational book on all aspects of theory and composition for pop and rock)

The Songwriters Workshop - Berklee series

I have written my own syllabus, based on my studies and experience playing professionally. I find that transcription skills and working tunes out on first hearing are invaluable aids in tailoring the lesson to suit the student.
