I highly recommend the excellent book "Dynamics of the Singing Voice" by Meribeth A Dayme

I have studied privately with Meribeth Dayme and attended several of David Jones' master classes when Mr Jones comes to England. 

Both Meribeth Dayme and David Jones have a wealth of knowledge and experience with voice and singing voice.  I frequently refer to and acknowedge their work in my own teaching.
