Classical Singing

You're already on the right road to finding a good qualified voice teacher if you are reading this.

When contacting a new teacher for the first time, here is a handy check list of questions:

1) What are the teacher's academic qualifications?

2) Do they play the piano?

3) What styles of music do they teach?

4) What is the cancellation policy?

5) What is the payment policy (weekly, monthly etc)?

The teacher should also sound interested in YOU and what you want! They should ask you about your music interests, goals and what you would like to achieve. Singing is very personal and a good rapport is essential to being comfortable and learning the most you can. Good luck!
