Classical Singing

Singing and classical singing in particular requires focus, energy and a great deal of self-awareness. Even more so than in the learning and mastering of other musical instruments since one own body is the instrument itself with the vocal chords producing the sound or vibration with air flow and the body being the cage of resonance.

And although almost anybody is capable of singing a simple tune without any particular training, a full, free and balanced emission can only occur with the subtle and complex synchronisation of different muscles. This is achieved mainly by releasing unnecessary tensions in the body while using proper breath support.

I believe singing is not an intellectual endeavour but rather a journey of self discovery as one own voice is unique and has its own characteristics.
