Early Years Music

The joys of incorporating elements from every musical background into violin lessons are endless! For young children tuition away from their instrument can help pace the lesson, aiding their concentration and development; but generally using elements of Dalcroze Eurythmics, Alexander Technique amongst other ideas, incorporates a brilliant array of musicianship skills to the student without feeling held back by their instrument.

The use of movement increases body awareness and the feeling of relaxation; the development of pulse and rhythm is a brilliant precursor to skills such as sightreading, musicality and ensemble playing. But overall, using all these different ideas means that each student can be taught as an individual and their tuition tailored to their needs to create a varied and exciting lesson.
