Flute

Some people only have an interest in solo flute performance. However, I strongly suggest getting involved in ensembles and orchestras.

I have had many of my pianist friends telling me, ''you are lucky because you can experience everything: solo performance, orchestras, ensembles, brass bands, jazz. groups".

I actually agree with them. I am lucky that I picked up flute when I was 11.

I love playing in orchestras, or with others in small ensembles because those musical worlds are unlimited.

Playing with other intruments brings about a huge improvement in your performance, including your tuning skills and communication skills.

Some people take part a lot in solo competitions, and some people join youth orchestras from a young age.

The important thing is you need both: solo, and ensemble skills to be an amazing flutist.
