”Money gives you happiness”: such a controversial sentence. Throughout history this sentence has been at the heart of debates. Does money make people happy? Does the lack of money make people miserable?
Many people relate happiness to money because it allows them to acquire all the things they want and to fulfill most of their desires. Other people argue that money can’t buy you good health, family, self integrity, it only allows you to purchase material things.
I personally think that happiness comes from a combination of material and immaterial factors. Having enough money to have a decent life (being able to see a doctor when sick, to travel, to get your children a good education) is necessary but not sufficient to be happy.
