GCSE Biology

The more I read Biology, the more I am wonder struck at how complex and compactly built human beings are. Even in the age of vast scientific strides and technological revolution, scientists cannot say that they can create life from scratch.

The Human genome project which attempted to map and identify the 25,000 gene pool was completed after a decade of pooling in brain power of the best names in the business. And that is just the beginning of the story. It's amazing how the nose can smell good food and trigger off gastric juices or how when we bruise ourselves, it is healed within a few days leaving no trace of the incident. Although all these things seem to happen magically, there are a lot of biochemical processes that ensure cause and effect.

And if your child takes a little more time to figure it out, let him....Let him learn at a pace that suits him, so that he remembers it for life and not just an exam.
