GCSE English

I highly recommend that pupils read as widely as possible. There is really no substitute for someone who has read widely and learnt to enjoy what they read. From novels to story books and from newspapers to specific subjects there is so much to be gained in terms of style, correct spelling, use of words in their context and the joy of discovering the beauties of attractive English style. I have taught pupils who have read poetry, novels and newspapers and watched how their command of the English language has improved.
