I have just started to teach the new GCSE ICT from Edexcel.  I found that this new course is a vast improvement on the other GCSE ICT syllabus available.  My students really enjoy the modern approach this course takes, as it looks at topics that they know about e.g. Mobile phones, Online Shopping etc.

However, my students and I have found that course is even more enjoyable because there is an excellent course text book that thoroughly supports the course.  It is called 'Edexcel GCSE ICT Student Book'.  The text book is broken down into separate sections that support the Theory and Coursework aspects of the course, with excellent explanations and good practical exercises. It also has a small but essential section explaining the final exam.

All in all, a very good course text book.
