GCSE Maths

Whatever the learning style of my students, I always get them to reflect on the methods they use to solve a mathematical task.

Being able to describe what you have done, explain it to others and evaluate the strength of that technique is a sign that you know what you are doing.

Therefore, I always end every lesson with a reflection session. I believe this is one of the best ways to build a confident and independent learner. With a bit of support, I believe every child can succeed if correctly directed and helped to self-assess themselves.
