GCSE Maths

Before you begin to look for a tutor, it's useful to consider first what you want to achieve.

A tutor will certainly be able to help you improve your grade by structuring your tuition around practising exam papers and learning methods. However, if you want to deepen and enrich your understanding of maths, there are other activities which your tutor can arrange.

Maths is a form of communication, so you might consider asking your tutor to work with you and a group of friends. Maths is about solving life's problems so why not ask your tutor how you can apply your learning to scenarios in the real world. Maths can be very absorbing and beautiful, so perhaps you would like your tutor to show you the natural patterns and sequences that emerge from a Fibonacci sequence or Pascal's triangle.

Maths tutor love maths and most will be keen to plan your learning in the way that suits you best but only you can know which kind of learning is right for you, and you can only know if you take the time to reflect.
