There is so much to say, but it really isn't that difficult.
Having attended a course with Edexcel entitled "Achieving in the Listening Paper" I learned some essential tips of information from the leader Jonny Martin which would stand any student about to take the exam in good stead.
That book you have been given written by Edexcel's Jonny Martin and John Arkell is written at A level standard. That means that much of what is in that book you do not need to know to achieve full marks!!!
And, by the way, it is possible - to achieve full marks in this exam.
