Jazz/ Pop Singing

The desire to sing is in most of us somewhere ,whether it be in the bath or on stage.I guess that's why music and song are in all cultures.

Finding your own voice is  a  beautiful journey of discovery, hard work and commitment.

Some people  have  lessons, because they want to sing at a friends wedding, others because they just want to be able to sing and enjoy the sound that they create for themselves ,and then others because they know it's their true expression, their gift  and they just need some help.

Whatever the reason,it takes time and is an investment in yourself. It is also wonderfully healing.

working with finding ways to unlock the singers true sound, rather than how they think they should sound can be a challenge but  students are often  pleasantly surprised. It's  a moment of magic when they discover a voice that has always been within them,  finally coming  out.It is also a deeply fulfilling experience for the tutor.

It's  important to learn how to look after the voice,as it needs care to function at it's optimum.

Teaching is  a two way journey. With both student and tutor always gaining.
