Key Stage 2 Maths

1 x 9 = 09
2 x 9 = 18
3 x 9 = 27
4 x 9 = 36
5 x 9 = 45
6 x 9 = 54
7 x 9 = 63
8 x 9 = 72
9 x 9 = 81
10 x 9 = 90

Learning the 9 times table is dead easy!
Look at all the answers above: each pair of numbers adds up to 9.

e.g. 0+9=9
     1+8=9
     2+7=9

Now to work out the answer to 7x9, take the number below 7 (which is 6), ask yourself: What number do I add to 6 to get 9? It is 3 so the answer to 7x9=63!
You can use this method to work out the answer to any of the 9 times table. Just take the number below and ask yourself what you need to add to it to make 9.
