Key Stage 2 Maths

For those parents who are interested in finding out more about how their children develop mathematical understanding, I recommend the book "How Children Learn Mathematics" by Pamela Liebeck.

It describes the stages children go through as they gradually develop abstract thought and how their experiences can be used to help them grasp the basic concepts that will form the foundation of their mathematical understanding.

This book has been on my shelf for many years and is one that I still return to when trying to understand children's misconceptions.
