Key Stage 3 Maths

How often have you been told, as a child, to sit up, sit still, look at me and then comes the dreaded words...and concentrate?

It is enough to bemuse any active, creative, thinking child.  By the time you have subdued your muscles, ears, brain, eyes and your imagination you are probably in a state of semi-consciousness.  You have at least been labelled as 'good'.

Bad news is that you aren't going to learn very much.

So let's allow children to fiddle, and wiggle and chew gum, and fidget and LEARN!

I know it sounds a little controversial - but it works.  It really does. Various parts of the brain are stimulated and ready to learn.
