I recommend the following:

"Freedom In Piano Technique" by Joan Last

I find this book very useful for students taking Grade 8 exams. It has illustrations for piano technique, particularly the use of the thumb in scale passages. There are also helpful sections in octave technique and pedalling. The breadth of knowledge encompassed in learning Piano is so great that it would be impossible to list here everything that one could use to enhance it. Therefore I always individualise my approach to every student.
