I learned the piano back in 1974 and really enjoyed it, and then went on to a Polytechnic to study Business Studies.
I learnt a lot from my old piano tutor who is no longer alive today, and she gave me an inspiration and the knowledge to assist people today.
I like to assist people in their development and see improvements in their level of play over a period of time.
Perhaps you may want to improve yourself individually. In my case, I am currently training for Grade 8 Piano in 2010 and passed at the ABRSM a short teaching course in May of 2009.
For me the main thing is enjoying the interaction, and the fact that I can try to get the best out of the student.
This is why I am a tutor, and perhaps you can be one day if you enjoy it and are determined.
All the best to all aspiring musicians. One enjoys music more when one can play a bit.Try to play it is good for the soul and your wellbeing.
