Piano

There is a vast amount of research to suggest that music can develop certain areas of the brain. As well as enhancing skills such as memory and coordination, it has been proven that exposure to music can lead to development in areas such as maths and physics. Listening to a Mozart sonata can even lead to a temporary increase in IQ of up to eight points!

Playing an instrument is a great way to express emotions and relieve stress after a hard day. It can boost self esteem and inspire confidence, and provides great entertainment for you and others. Learning an instrument creates a endless sense of satisfaction and achievement as you develop and progress, making other tasks, such as learning a language, seem much less daunting. The rewards are endless, anyone can learn, and the skills that you acquire will benefit you in all areas of your life.

About The Author

My aim is to guide students into developing their own individual style at their own pace in a fun and relaxed environment. I teach both adults and children of any ability from as young as 5, some who wish to learn for fun, others who progress to preparation for ABRSM exams, recitals, concerts and festivals.
