People say that you cannot teach charisma, but I believe this is simply not true. Some people have it, sure, and those people are magnetic to watch, but it's perfectly possible to pick up what they're doing with a bit of help and a bit of hard work. Simplicity, clarity and clear vocal use are all skills that can be picked up, as is the intelligent use of linguistic structure and body language.
And the thing is, in many cases, you do not even need a teacher to get started. Take a great public speaker, or a bad one. Analyse what they are doing. What can you copy, what can you make sure you avoid? The spaces, the vocal patterns, the eyes.
The things you can pick up are essential not just to the actor and the businessman, but to anyone who deals with other people. They can make the difference between a mediocre talent and a smash hit success, in any field.
