Amazing is the only word I can find to describe each of the Reiki Attunements I have had. An attunement is necessary to be able to channel Reiki. It is the process in which the channel that the chakras run through is aligned to allow the Reiki energy to flow through. Each attunement at each level has been a different experience for me, from seeing colours throughout the process to having a sense of peace and love surrounding me.

After an attunement there is a twenty-one day healing period, which coincides with the length of time that Dr Usui, the founder Reiki as we know it, spent on Mount Karuna when Reiki was sent to him. Each chakra needs three days to clear any blockages that are there.

. The first time I asked for the Reiki energy to channel through me I could feel a tingling sensation in my hands. I found that as I started to use Reiki I became more sensitive to the Reiki energy that I was channelling and also to the energy my body was emitting and to the energy emitted by the clients I was treating.

I found that my intuition started to develop and although I had been taught set hand positions, I intuitively knew where my hands needed to be placed during each treatment I performed. I also found that I knew where the energy blocks were and what the root cause of them was which enabled me to guide my client to the area of their life that they needed to look at changing.

Each attunement has allowed the Reiki to channel more strongly and the Reiki symbols that I was attuned to from Reiki 2 to Master Teacher level have allowed healing to take place on a much deeper level in both my clients and myself.

I realised that Reiki did really make a difference to both my clients and my own health and well-being and decided that I wanted to teach this wonderful form of healing so that more people could help themselves and others to achieve a more peaceful, loving way of life.
