Rock/Pop Guitar

Music is endless, something we should be pleased about. The more that I learn about my instrument, and about music in general, the more I am convinced of how little I know! This is a cause for celebration though, as we can be confident that whenever we are feeling bored with what we know or listen to, or stuck in a rut about the way we play, there are definitely new perspectives, new challenges and new skills to pick up!

My own musical research trips to Cuba, Senegal and Mali both gave me glimpses into expansive musical universes that I had only glimpsed previously, and convinced me of the need to stay in these countries (and probably every other in the world) for a year, in order to fully appreciate what was musically available!

Maybe one day I'll do this - for now, I'll take advantage of the limitless learning available to me from the people around me, and my students!
