Saxophone

The following clip is of Mike Brecker... many an inspiration for students to become sax players.once you know who he is.

The camera zooms right up close to Mikes fingers and his mouth(Embouchure).Very useful to observe his positioning and technique up close. Also pay attention to his sound...not dull (in my opinion)like a classical player but full of exciting higher frequency harmonics,a feature of many jazz and rock sax performers

Study of this guy and all his influences would be  very useful in understanding the emotions and sounds of a saxophone.

A very modern player sadly no longer with us.
