Saxophone

We all know how hard it is to learn an instrument from scratch.

The first few weeks are hard to get motivated to practise, expecially if you can only play one or two notes.

I have found that after the first couple weeks, when you have finally learnt a few notes, that it is not only challenging but also very rewarding to play a song that you recognise. It may be something that normally you would not be able to play for several months as it has so many new notes for you to learn, but if you like the song you are more willing to practise it and have a great sense of achievement when you can finally play it.

Music should be fun and that is where the groups really pay off. It is more social than individual tuition and most adults find this is what they need after a hard day at work: time to play and relax with friends!
