Have you heard of Salamanca? It is a small city in the region of Castilla -Leon in the north west of Spain.

It is famous for its university, which being founded in the 13th century makes it the oldest in Spain and the third oldest in Europe. There are also other historic buildings that are really worth a visit, like the famous Main Square (the 'jewel of the city') and the well-known cathedral Nueva y Catedral vieja.

Every year thousands of visitors and students come to Salamanca, attracted not only by the richness of the architecture and history but also to learn 'La lengua de Cervantes' - known as the purest accent in Spain.

If you ever have the opportunity to visit this city, just go, you'll fall in love with it!
