Standard Grade Maths

It is a crying shame that it is considered acceptable in the UK to declare that you are rubbish at maths. There is often even an element of pride in the statement that you wouldn't hear if 'maths' was replaced by 'reading'. All any maths is, is a series of logical steps from one true statement to the next. If those steps are made small enough, and explained in the right way, then no-one needs to think they are bad at maths.
