Warming up sounds like a very obvious thing to do before you play but many people take it lightly and ultimately struggle to reach their full potential. No matter your level, a good warm up routine is very important and should be played every day that you play.

Warm up exercises should never be too complicated and never too strenuous. This is very important because a poor warm up can lead to poor quality practice and a reduced practice time due to fatigue, much in the same way a football player would not warm up for a match by running full speed round the pitch 10 times just before the whistle. Playing slow and simple exercises are the best thing to do and even as you progress onto more technical exercises caution should be taken in not progressing onto too hard and strenuous. Playing loud high and fast is rarely the best practice.
