Trumpet

The warm up is a vital part of any players practice. It prepares you for the playing demands of the day.

For beginners, this could simply mean doing some mouthpiece buzzing before you play, or a breathing excercise or two.

For the more advanced player, a good example of a warm up can be found in the Allen Vizzutti Method, Book 1, a book I use daily for my warm up and technique practice. It takes you from mouthpiece buzzing right through to upper register and endurance.
