Architectural education is a long and daunting process with many obstacles and hurdles. It can be very hard to admit that help is needed but there is absolutely no shame in it at all.
It is unclear even now whether architecture is an art or a science or a combination of both. Different schools demand different standards. One thing is universal of architecture schools though, the work rate and energy needed is high, really high. The techniques and methods evolve but the fundamentals always stay the same: good design and good awareness of the needs of people.
The atmosphere of an architecture school can also be incredibly competitive and it can be easy to feel worried. Education is a lot like life and you run your own race. It is far better to have your own ideas than to follow the bandwagon and try to copy what you think is the best. You will receive so much more respect and credit for being brave and different and if you can accept feedback and criticism into your ideas then you will be fine.
