I believe that best results and highest levels of productivity are achieved through enjoyment of tasks whether it be Maths or Music that you are learning.

Research at Claremont Graduate University in California has shown that there is a particular state of learning called "flow" that we can enter to achieve our very best. Central to this state are the feelings of enjoyment that arise in our brain during the period of intense concentration. It is this enjoyment that the researchers found develops the highest levels of skill in subjects, from Maths to Music.

I aim to make music an enjoyable experience not only because I believe that music should always be enjoyed, but also because I believe this is the best way to learn, encouraging students to practise most effectively and enabling the best results.
