Violin

Looking at unknown pieces by famous composers can be fascinating.

Schumann's first violin sonata, not well-known before the middle of the twentieth century, particularly interested me when I studied it as a violinist.  I found it an extraordinary work and wanted to explore more of Schumann's late music.  One piece, the third violin sonata is even today rarely played and, along with other late violin works, shows much creative inspiration.
