One of my most treasured memories as a child was watching Joshua Bell perform the Barber Violin Concerto at a Prom in the Royal Albert Hall. I was 10 years old and I remember fighting my way to the front row and as I watched him I thought, 'this is what I want to do with my life'.
Years later I have been to a great many live performances and many have really inspired me to pursue my career as a professional musician. I strongly believe in live performances across any and all genres as this is when music is truly alive and every performance is unique. What is great about live music is that anyone can enjoy it: you don't have to be a trained musician.
Classical music is especially good live as there Is also the visual aspect and the general event of a concert is such an enjoyable experience. Performing and watching live perfomances is a highly important aspect of my life and I think everyone should benefit from experiencing live music.
