- A friendly, enthusiastic trumpet player I have a 1st Class Honours BMus degree from the Royal Welsh College of Music. I'm currently studying for a PGDip at the Royal Northern College of Music.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- Although I specialise in trumpet and cornet playing, I am able to teach all brass instruments, through my brass band background. I have experience in teaching different instruments and theory as I currently work as a peripatetic teacher for St Helens Music Service. I am able to teach any standard from beginner to advanced.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I have a BMus First Class Honours degree from the Royal Welsh College of Music, a Diploma in trumpet playing from the Associated Board of music and I am currently studying for a PGDip at the Royal Northern College of Music
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have experience in all kinds of teaching. I regularly teach beginner players in primary and secondary schools, private one to one students, mature students and students working towards exams as well as brass band conducting and being a brass tutor on orchestral and brass band courses.
- How much do you charge?
- Lessons are £22 an hour; £12 per half hour. I am able to travel to teach, and expenses will be calculated on distance travelled.
- Where do you teach?
- I can teach in my home in the centre of Manchester or at a students house in surrounding areas. I can travel to Bolton, Huddersfield, Liverpool, Preston, Salford, Bury, Warrington, Rochdale and Stockport
- When are you available?
- I am very flexible and can change to the needs of a student. I teach in St Helens for two days a week (Thursday + Friday) so the surrounding areas will be better on those nights and would cut down on expenses.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- All ages and levels.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- I have enhanced CRB clearance through my teaching work
