- BA in Music and Drama from the University of Hull
MMus in Vocal Performance from Trinity Laban conservatoire of Music and Dance - What kind of experience do you have?
- I have taught several pupils over my professional career, and can provide references. I am an established performer in London, and I
have conducted amateur and professional choirs - How much do you charge?
- Consultation is Free, however if a long way away I would need to charge travel expenses.
Vocal Coaching: £35 for 1 Hour, £50 for 2 Hours (consecutively or in the same week)
Piano Coaching: £30 for 1 Hour, £40 for 2 Hours (consecutively or in the same week)
Music Theory: £20 per Hour (advance notice required for materials) - Where do you teach?
- I have facilities to teach at my home or at students' homes. If a more central location is required I can (with advanced notice) book time at Jacques Samuels Piano studios or Marylebone Lane Music studios. Both these locations would incur an extra cost (approx. £8 room hire)
- When are you available?
- My dates are flexible, weekdays and evenings primarily but weekends can be arranged.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I can teach from young to old, any skill level.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- Entirely up to the student. When we have a consultation we can discuss your goals and what you want from the lessons. I will base our progress on that.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- I do not at the moment, my last CRB check was in 2008 and came back clear. I'm happy for another to be requested if necessary
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
- Music theory can easily be discussed and talked about over Skype. I can send theory papers via email, and work through them on the call.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
- I am a member of the Associated Studios at Riverside, a group that specialises in educating professional Opera/Musical Theatre singers and also has its own production company 'Word Press'
