Personal Message
I am an Operatic Tenor currently working in London, I can teach Voices of any type and genre, as well as piano coaching. From beginner to budding star, I can help!
Which subject(s) do you teach?
Voice (Classical, Musical Theatre, Jazz and Pop) and Piano.
Tell me about your qualifications.
BA in Music and Drama from the University of Hull
MMus in Vocal Performance from Trinity Laban conservatoire of Music and Dance
What kind of experience do you have?
I have taught several pupils over my professional career, and can provide references. I am an established performer in London, and I
have conducted amateur and professional choirs
How much do you charge?
Consultation is Free, however if a long way away I would need to charge travel expenses.

Vocal Coaching: £35 for 1 Hour, £50 for 2 Hours (consecutively or in the same week)
Piano Coaching: £30 for 1 Hour, £40 for 2 Hours (consecutively or in the same week)
Music Theory: £20 per Hour (advance notice required for materials)
Where do you teach?
I have facilities to teach at my home or at students' homes. If a more central location is required I can (with advanced notice) book time at Jacques Samuels Piano studios or Marylebone Lane Music studios. Both these locations would incur an extra cost (approx. £8 room hire)
When are you available?
My dates are flexible, weekdays and evenings primarily but weekends can be arranged.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I can teach from young to old, any skill level.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Entirely up to the student. When we have a consultation we can discuss your goals and what you want from the lessons. I will base our progress on that.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
I do not at the moment, my last CRB check was in 2008 and came back clear. I'm happy for another to be requested if necessary
Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
Music theory can easily be discussed and talked about over Skype. I can send theory papers via email, and work through them on the call.
Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I am a member of the Associated Studios at Riverside, a group that specialises in educating professional Opera/Musical Theatre singers and also has its own production company 'Word Press'
Where and with whom did you train?
In Chronological order:

Henry Herford
Judith Hartley
Sarah Leonard
Lynton Atkinson
Marcus von Den Akken
Do you have a personal message for students?
If you are looking for a teacher who takes a real interest in your development, who is not looking for a stereotypical sound and who wants to help you create pure natural sound, then I am your guy! I look forward to hearing from you, and if you simply have questions about the idea of musical education please get in touch, its never too late or early to start!
